As a review for testing, I used this order of operations bingo game as a fun formative assessment to practice order of operations and PEMDAS. The game is in a Smart-board format so you would have to have Smart-board technology to play it. Give students a blank bingo card where they can fill out the spaces with numbers 1-30 however they want (bingo cards only have 25 spaces, one being free play, so they should have 6 unused numbers). Randomly select a card which is one of the blue or green slots on the game to reveal a problem and they have to solve it. The answers to problems are between 1 and 30 and they will cover up the answer on the board if it's there. This also helps students' self-assess because the answers can only be between 1 and 30 so if they got a bigger number then they should know they made a mistake somewhere. Students who get 5 in row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally got Bingo and won. You can keep going and play a cover all or 4 corners as well.

Materials needed: Bingo cards, chips, smartboard game.
